In an effort to support student success and completion at North Carolina community colleges, the Finish Line Grant program was established. Students often face unforeseen financial circumstances that can impact the completion of their education or training program. Up to $1,000 per student is available in Finish Line Grant funding to help students overcome these financial barriers.

Overview:

  • Students currently enrolled in any curriculum program or occupational continuing education program are eligible for the Finish Line Grant program.
  • Eligible students must have completed 50% of their education or training program. Students must be able to show and document an economic hardship.
  • Future Finish Line Grant funding sources may only require students to complete 25% of their education or training program. Students must still be able to show and document an economic hardship.
  • The Finish Line Grant program can help pay for transportation, childcare, tuition, utilities, car repairs, rent costs, and more!
